Dojo Etiquette
- Please remove your shoes and socks before walking onto mat.
- Remove all jewelry such as watches, rings, necklaces, and earrings.
- Please wash your gi regularly. Fingernails and toenails should be kept
short. Practice good general hygiene.
- Students should bow when entering or leaving the dojo. When changing partners,
acknowledge the one you are leaving and your new one with a bow.
- Classes start promptly. If you arrive late, wait to be bowed in by sensei.
- Your partner's safety is of utmost importance. Look before throwing, and
always throw toward the center - not toward the walls.
- Never leave the mat without permission. Report any injury to the instructor.
- LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR.
- Always observe the seven virtues of Bushido - the way of the warrior.
